When you caught in choke or joint lock in MMA or grappling match, it is always wise to tap out rather than showing yourself tough. Failing to tap out could result broken bone, torn ligaments, pass out, and bump in sport carrier. Here are the three top reason why not tapping is dumb.

1. Broken Bone and Torn Ligaments
2. Choke Out/ Pass Out

2. Choke Out/ Pass Out
There is a famous saying "tap out or pass out". Constriction in neck area prevents blood/oxygen circulation to the brain resulting temporary pass out/unconscious. Lack of oxygen/blood to the brain could have potential to cause moderate to severe brain cell death leading to permanent loss of neurological function (Fainting Game: Wikipedia). So be sure to tap out before lights go out.

3. Carrier Bump
Severe injury such as fracture or broken bone or torn ligament keep you away from sport temporarily or sometime permanently. So, always play smart. In fact, tapping out during submission makes you winner because you can come back to fight next day to win.
News Update: Legendary MMA fighter and submission specialist, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will be out of the fight for at least nine months due to his broken arm. This injury could potentially end fighting carrier of Nogueira.
